League Sunday is RTÉ Television's dedicated Sports programme following the GAA League.
The Title Sequence was developed from a low budget, originally relying on existing slow motion footage from games and documentary footage of the stadium. The film DREDD, released 2012, was an excellent touchstone for populating the shots of an empty stadium with a barrage of energy and power. Shots of billboards throughout the stadium were used to play the footage and a lattice of glass panels was used as a recurring graphic motif throughout the piece. The enormous level of graphics treatment and sound design allowed us to significantly raise the production value to that required for a national sports opening.
